This beginning section of my book isn’t really eventful; it is just the writer explaining the scene of the book, what it looks like, and just how things are. It eventually gets to the point where they introduce more characters and I was starting to see a lot of imagery in my book. it talks about what the people are doing and how they are building fires and just exploring and trying to start a civilization along and how the people are just trying to make this place their home and the book talks so much about all of the imagery and the amazing things that are seen. It talks about all of these new things that are being built how there are now railroads and how the logging economy is. there are so many things that have changed over time and there are so many things that have come to be now and there are so many things that are being created.

My book is a novel written by Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle named “Even As We Breath” and a reason I was interested in reading it is that I love the outdoors and it is a thrilling book and people say it is a mysterious book there are just so many things about this book that are interesting to me and that pull me to this book.

Act #3: Emotions shown

One of the emotions shown is jealousy and it is shown when Abigail tries to kill Elizabeth. this shows jealousy because Abigail is jealous of Elizabeth and John because she wants John and wants Elizabeth dead so she can have John. This is shown on pages (22-24)

Another emotion that is shown is fear and this is shown when Elizabeth gets pulled into the courtroom and is questioned she is scared that if she tells the truth she is going to wreck John’s reputation so she lies. This is shown on pages (112-114)

another emotion that is shown is love and this is also shown when Elizabeth lies because she doesn’t want to ruin John’s reputation because she loves him and wants to forgive him. This is shown on pages (112-114)

another emotion that is shown is anger and it is shown a lot in this book especially in Act 3 because people are fighting about who is a witch and they are just trying to figure everything out no one trusts anyone and everyone is just fighting and yelling at each other. this is shown on pages (83-120)

The Brief Relation of the Devastation of the Indies Reading Questions

When people move into a new area and meet new people they don’t really like to think about what is important to others and people will just do what’s best for them and what will get them further in life. Like when they say “And the Christians, with their horses and swords and pikes began to carry out massacres and strange cruelties against them” that just shows that people don’t care if someone has a family or has a life they just want to be the most powerful and do what’s the best for themselves. They will go as far as killing people they don’t even know but just because they aren’t like them, and they won’t change to be like them.
